Podcast #55: Muscle Recovery for Vegan Bodybuilders and Plant-Powered Athletes
I know how much you podcast peeps love when we get all "meathead" on the show!
And because it's been a little while since we've covered something oh-so-vegan-bodybuilding-focused, I thought it was about damn time we cover the oh-so-important-topic of MUSCLE RECOVERY!
For the record, I am NOT a fan of Team #NoDaysOff. In fact, all you hardcore meatless meatheads need to realize that the greater and more frequent your training intensity is, the greater and more frequent your need for recovery is!
And yes, I will ALWAYS advise my clients to have at least one planned rest day every single week, no matter what their vegan bodybuilding goals may be.
Your muscles need time to repair, rebuild and strengthen themselves! And rest days also give your body the chance to replenish its energy stores.
Without this time to repair and replenish, your body will only continue to breakdown as you continue to train like a maniac and NOT build new muscle. So rest up, my vegan meathead brethren! And whilst you rest and relax, you can listen to this podcast episode.
