Podcast #42: Interview with Vegan Bikini Competitor Nadege Corcoran

Podcast #42: Interview with Vegan Bikini Competitor Nadege Corcoran

Can I begin by saying that this is definitely one of my fave podcast interviews yet?

Not only did I feel like I FINALLY mastered the editing **pats myself on jacked back** (I am, after all, but a meathead, not a "sound guy.")  Nevertheless, I feel as though I'm finally getting the hang of this whole "at home" podcast recording/editing thang. And a huge thanks to everyone STILL tuning in amidst the recent shoddy recordings whilst I've tinkered around with it.

But enough, self-praise.  The main reason I absolutely LOVED this podcast episode is because I got to hang with and interview my fellow Canadian vegan bikini competitor babe pal NADEGE CORCORAN!

Nadege and I were both in Montreal speaking at the first-ever Veg Summit 2018 alongside THE one and only Dr. Michael Greger of NutritionFacts.org!

We were both pretty bagged afterwards but I feel like we covered soooo much ground in this interview and all you vegan bikini competitors and fitness freaks are gonna eat it right up!

We discuss everything from the struggles of bikini competing to what it takes to completely transform your physique.

Nadege even shocked me a few times in this candid interview.  I didn't think it were possible for someone to have a more disgusting competition prep diet than me.  But she takes the cake (or gluten pancake I should say) for THE most horrible-sounding vegan competition prep meals of all time.

Although we're both in agreement that hers LOOKS better than it tastes and mine TASTES better than it looks...

Now look at some of my vegan competition diet meals...

Tasty, right?

Yes, even a seasoned vegan competition coach like me learned so much via this fun interview with Nadege.  For example, who knew you could prep for a show without even doing meal prep!?!?  Or that the macros on Gardein's delicious scallopinis were so damn good?!?

I already loved her before.  But now I dig this bad ass vegan babe even more.  Not only has she killed it in the corporate world as a ball-breaking, business exec but she's a nationally-qualified bikini competitor and just a vegan boss all around!

And am I the only one who thinks it's FUCKING AWESOME that we can both flawlessly rock a classic Wonder Woman costume?!

And am I the only one who thinks it's absolutely hilarious that we BOTH have in our "Wonder Woman" possession a photo posed with a younger, modern-style Wonder Woman who-- let's be honest-- doesn't stand a chance against our impeccable superhero embodiment?!

"Thanks for the pic!  Now GTFOH!" ;)

Anywho, this week's podcast is essentially just us beeyotches shootin' the shit about all things veganism, prep life, fat loss, muscle building, self-confidence, diet and exercise.  What more could you want from Jacked on the Beanstalk?  So what are you waiting for? Give it a listen already!

Awwww I love this message!! Thank you sooooo much, Ann!! Sincerely appreciate the feedback and so glad you dug this episode. We had a blast recording it. Keep hammering those weights, girl. And don’t be a stranger xo

I think this might be my favorite podcast from JOTB, at least in recent memory. It’s so awesome to hear your REAL raw experience in competition and competition prep. All you see in women’s bodybuilding mags are shredded and super-lean women, and it’s hard when you think you want to be that way. Also, I LOVE hearing how much you ladies lift! And another thing-it’s hilarious to hear you making fun of skinny girls (even though that’s probably me) who think they can compete without a serious, long term committment to muscle-building. Thank you Samantha and Nadege!
